In Puerto Rico, the rights and obligations related to service animals in lodging establishments (hotels, inns, and similar accommodations) are governed primarily by federal law, specifically the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which fully applies in Puerto Rico. Under the ADA, lodging establishments that serve the public must allow service animals to accompany individuals with disabilities in all areas open to guests, including guest rooms, lobbies, common areas, and on-site restaurants. A service animal is defined as a dog or animal that has been individually trained to perform specific tasks or work directly related to a person’s disability. Service animals are not considered pets.

Royal Isabela is located in northwest Puerto Rico, in the town of Isabela. Our physical address is 396 Avenida Noel, Estrada, Isabela, Puerto Rico 00662. 

You can arrive at Royal Isabela by navigating with Google Maps or a similar navigation application. The address is Royal Isabela, 396 Avenida Noel Estrada, Isabela, Puerto Rico 00662. Coming from San Juan, you will take PR-22 and PR-2 until you see signs for PR-110, which will lead you to our property. Upon arriving at the gates, ring the intercom at the stop sign to provide your name and relevant details for security.

While there is plenty to explore on our 1,800-acre nature reserve, a rental car is highly recommended for visitors to Puerto Rico. Taxis and ride-sharing apps like Uber are not readily available, and Puerto Rico is best explored by car. If you cannot rent a car, we are happy to arrange for transportation for select signature guest experiences, like the Spirit of Isabela and Surfari, as well as helicopter transfers to and from the metro area. 

We recommend booking directly with the following local agencies and resources: 

• For airport transfers to and from SJU airport: We recommend First Class Destination Solutions, with booking available at their website or via phone at +1.787.296.5466.
• For airport transfers to and from BQN airport: We recommend Aguadilla-based Paradise Transportation, also available via phone at +1.787.691.1976.
• For rental cars in the Isabela area: Global Car Rental (located in Quebradillas) may deliver your rental vehicle to our property for you; contact them +1.787.455.4110 for more information.

The resort fee is 20% of the total booking amount, excluding taxes. This fee is applicable for use of the estate facilities including the lap pool and resort pool, tennis courts, WiFi, parking, and our staff transporting guests with golf carts.

Yes, we have two pools, both available exclusively for overnight guests and members. We have a pool located next to the casitas, and we have a lap pool located next to the tennis court. Each casita is also equipped with its own private plunge pool.

Currently, there is no fitness center available on the property. We offer guided and self-guided nature trails and a curated menu of signature guest experiences, including private yoga, sound baths, ebiking, surf lessons, and more.

Visitors are welcome to dine at La Casa, play the golf course, and visit the Pro Shop. Outside guests are not permitted to enter guest areas in order to maintain privacy for our casita guests.

Yes, the Royal Isabela Golf Club welcomes anyone to book a tee time and play the course. You may also schedule private lessons with our on-site professional instructors. 

To preserve the intimacy of our property and privacy of our guests, we do not offer day passes for the pool. 

Please note that all professional, commercial, and influencer photography or filming at Royal Isabela requires express written approval in advance. 

This policy applies to all photographers, content creators, influencers, and media, regardless of audience size or platform. Unauthorized photography or failure to comply with these guidelines may result in immediate termination of the session and a request to leave the property.

Photography sessions are available Monday through Thursday, subject to availability. The minimum fee is $600 for up to two (2) hours. A maximum of five (5) people total, including the photographer and all participants, is permitted. Wedding dresses or bridal gowns are not permitted under this policy.

Yes, the beach is accessible from our property. Accessing the beach requires a walk down a tropical and sometimes challenging path from our cliffside location. We can also happily arrange a beach day at the tide pools located near our property, through the Pastillo Beach Escape signature guest experience. 

Yes, we offer spa services in guest casitas. We do not currently have a spa facility open to the public.

No, Royal Isabela is not members-only. While we do have an exclusive membership option, we welcome anyone to dine with us at our various farm-to-table restaurants, play a round of golf, reserve a night in a private luxury casita, or book a signature guest experience. 

You have our flagship farm-to-table restaurant La Casa, as well as Bar Atlantea for light bites and drinks, and The Grill for casual breakfast and lunch. Room service is also available for casita guests.
